May 29, 2022 is National Learn About Composting Day and in honor of that we flashback to then 8-year old Alma, with the help of Sherri Linn, dumping the first ever bucket of food waste into our brand new church composting bin. Alma and her mother Jessie Trowbridge started UUCW’s compost program in November of 2019. Photo of the Week #5

For over 20 years our church has provided a dinner meal for the men and women of Dismas House, a home in which recently incarcerated individuals make the transition back into society. It’s a small but vital Social Justice action anyone can do to support the success of these individuals who deserve a second chance at life.
