Dismas House in Worcester provides a transition home for previously incarcerated men in a family-style setting where they can work to reintegrate into the community. UUCW, in addition to a large number of other charitable organizations in the community, for a good number of years has been providing a meal once a month for the men and sit down at their table and together “break bread”.
“I find this type of outreach very rewarding in knowing that I can support my community, these men, in this way. It shows that we do care and are willing to support them (as we can) in their journey and have faith that they will make a positive difference, too,” Linda Rich.
Please help us continue this long standing UUCW tradition by volunteering just a few hours a month to help this cause, this Social Justice.
