Every year, around the last week in May, at about the time that the mayflowers carpet the forest floor, Linda and I like to go for a walk to see the pink lady slippers that blossom in the woods around our woodlot in Princeton. This year we’d like to invite members of our church family to join us.
Participants will meet at church at 11:00 on Saturday morning, May 28, and drive to conservation land by the Ware River along the Princeton Hubbardston border, arriving about 11:30. A short walk will take us to the shore of the bank of the river, where we will pause for lunch. We will return to church in mid-afternoon.
Participants are asked to bring their lunch, water bottle, and rain gear in case of a shower.
