What’s In A Name Change?

In short, quite a lot!

The BOM (Board of Management) initiated the conversation of UUCW changing our name with the release of a White Paper this past Spring. Then, in conjunction with CORR (the Committee on Right Relations), well-attended speaking/listening sessions were held. To gather more data, a survey and poll were offered with significant participation.

With all this work done, the BOM and CORR has identified some lingering ambiguity in the process. At this time, the BOM and CORR agree that conversations concerning whether we should change our name, what would be the options for a name change be and how to continue the democratic process should be extended.

Therefore, we would like to invite you to a ‘Town Hall’ style meeting to further this endeavor on Sunday, September 26th following Worship. The Congregational Meeting which had been scheduled at this time will be rescheduled for later in the Fall.
