UUCW’s own Educator/Author/Public Speaker Wendy O’Leary held a Book Reading and Book Signing at Tidepool Bookshop on December 8, 2024. It’s OK – Being Kind to Yourself When Things Feel Hard is a children’s book which teaches little ones how to be kind to themselves during challenging times!

The Holiday Craft and Vendors Fair on Dec. 7, 2024 provided a perfect opportunity for Vickie Cox-Lanyon to socialize her NEADS (New England Assistance Dog Services) puppy Annie. Annie moves on in a week to her final training – essentially another year where she will live on the NEADS campus and be trained to do her “job” (mobility or hearing assistance; Autism or PTSD support). For now, Annie needs to be exposed to lots of different people and situations so she’s comfortable in whatever places her person needs her to go. Annie is the second puppy Vickie has raised through NEADS World Class Service Dogs. Annie is almost a year old and Vickie got her when she was 10 weeks. Go Annie!
