On Sept. 29th most of our Monarch caterpillars went home with Jessie Trowbridge. Jessie is shown gathering our caterpillars (on milkweed), with help from Carole Howe. Jessie will rear the caterpillars then return to UUCW with the grown-up butterflies. She will then help the children in RE stick special tracking tags on the butterflies before they release them. The tags are used to determine which ones get down to Mexico on their migration.
