All, the office received an email this past weekend, purporting to be from Board President Sheri Linn, with an incorrect email address. The text says:

Hi, how are you doing? Please kindly send me a copy of our church Member directory PDF.

This is a new scam going after churches and other non-profits that might have member directories, which is intended to collect the contact information of the people who reply to it, and to the people in the directory, and to sell the contact information on.

Please always be careful and cautious about responding to any email that asks you for money or contact information in any form, or that comes from an address that you don’t recognize. If you have any doubts, always feel free to forward the email to Aaron () and I () to double check that something is legitimate.
