The book group returns after summer hiatus on Wednesday, September 13th at 7 PM in Fellowship Hall. We will discuss David McCullough’s historical non-fiction work “The Pioneers: The Heroic Story of the Settlers Who Brough the American Ideal West.” The book chronicles the settling of the Ohio wilderness starting in 1788 under the leadership of General Rufus Putnam (Rutland MA) They prohibited slavery, demanded freedom of religion and universal education.
