No one in this world should be hungry. That’s why the CROP Hunger Walk is more than just a yearly gathering or event. It’s our chance to help families who are struggling with hunger and concerned about where they’ll find their next meal. The Walk is a way to take action to make sure that one more person has enough to eat.
TEAM UUCW NEEDS YOUR HELP!
The 2023 Holden CROP WALK is October 15th We are in need of the following volunteers:
* 1-2 bakers willing to each provide 2-3 dozen cookies/bars, etc.
* 2-3 youths to help with a water activity (demonstrating the weight of water buckets carried by the
women for several miles) or directing walkers to registration.
* Most of all, we need walkers, walkers, walkers, and taking a packet to collect donations from their acquaintances.
Your steps are needed now more than ever. In 2023, we continue fighting against the challenges that leave people hungry. The effects of climate change, drought, fires, floods, displacement, and the conflicts around the globe, are placing millions at risk of starvation. That’s why your participation is crucial in this year’s Walk.
Envelopes will again be available this Sunday and until the week before the walk, for sign-up and allowing you to add donations from neighbors, co-workers, family and friends!
