Are you ready to make some GOOD TROUBLE?
Beginning next Sunday, October 2nd, we will be offering you opportunities during coffee hour to put your faith into action and help communicate voting information to BIPOC communities in states with voter suppression and be prepared to vote in Massachusetts.
October 2nd, we will be writing postcards to Black voters in Georgia, a state that has made voting more restrictive, including making it a felony to hand out water to people waiting in long lines on election day. Please take time to write out a postcard or two or pick up a packet you can work on from home. If you will be joining worship services by zoom, contact me for how you can take action from home. Donations of postcard stamps will be accepted (no flags).
October 6th, join a phonebank with our UU partners in Northampton, USNF, at 6:30 PM, making calls to Georgia using the PDI platform and tools from Reclaim Our Vote/Center for Common Ground. Training will be provided and all you need is to be able to join zoom and make calls from your computer browser.
Sign up here and a zoom link will be sent to you separately.
Help protect our democracy. Here is a list of events and activities–what you can do to make a difference.
