In The Hour of Need (IHN) Family Shelter, 91 June Street, Worcester – UUCW’s host week at IHN is May 8-14, 2022.
Working in partnership with its member religious congregations, volunteer groups and individuals, In the Hour of Need Family Shelter (IHN) promotes self-sufficiency by providing temporary shelter, supplies, and housing advocacy services to families with children who are experiencing homelessness regardless of income and family structure.
Congregations are asked to host the evening 5:30-8:30 pm by being available for support, conversation, playing with children, etc. The families will be making dinner and you may want to eat with them or bring your own dinner. The overnight host is asked to arrive by 8:30 pm and stay until 6:30 am Monday-Friday and 8:30 am on Saturday and Sunday.
