Welcome to Newcomers
We hold regular worship Sunday morning services at 10:00 a.m., September through June. Lay-led services are held in July and August. Religious Education (RE) classes and child care are provided during services in the regular church year, beginning with the last Sunday in September. Additionally we will be hosting Soulful Sundown vesper services twice monthly on the 1st and 3rd Sundays (with the exception of September and June) - the first Soulful Sundown service will be Sunday, September 23, 2012 at 6 pm in the sanctuary.
Parking
The parking lot in front of the church is available primarily for those with mobility needs, visitors, and families with small children. Parking is also available in the lot across the street and next door at Bancroft School.
Accessibility
We are wheelchair accessible and have an assistive listening system. Large-print hymnals and Orders of Service are available. Talk with us about any other accommodations that can help you be a full participant.
Worship Notes
Worship includes readings, music, a reflection from the minister, and an optional time to share the joys and sorrows that mark the significant milestones of our lives. Services are typically led by Rev. Aaron Payson but may also be led by a lay leader with a guest speaker. Worship services last 60 - 75 minutes.
Child care is provided for children younger than 4; children between pre-kindergarten and grade 7 are invited to attend Religious Education classes during the 10 a.m. service; high school Youth Group is held on Sunday evenings.
Soulful Sundown vesper services begin on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at 6 pm and will continue twice monthly on the 1st and 3rd Sunday evenings through the first Sunday in June.
Coffee and Conversation
We invite you to stay for coffee and conversation after the Sunday morning services so you can get to know us. We want to get acquainted, to answer your questions, and to learn how we might support you in your religious journey. Find us at the Information Table in Fellowship Hall or join us for Conversations with Newcomers, held the first Sunday of each month after the regular church service.
If you have questions about our programs, or about becoming a member of this religious community, please feel free to speak with the pastor or any member of the congregation.
We hope that you enjoy your time with us!
